A royal residence for three dynasties, the site houses opulent rooms such as the Sala della Culla and the Salone delle Feste, as well as family portraits, works of art, and precious artifacts produced by the Bourbons.
The Museum: the tour begins with the Farnese Collection, one of the most famous of the 16th century, inherited by Charles of Bourbon from his mother and transferred to Naples in 1735. Over time, the collection has been enriched through acquisitions from Neapolitan royal families, churches, and convents.
The Park: with its 134 hectares and over 400 plant species, it is a vast green space overlooking the city and the Gulf of Naples. Along the avenues designed by architect Ferdinando Sanfelice, visitors can admire 16 historic buildings, including fountains, statues, and churches. In 2014, it was named the most beautiful park in Italy.
